People Helping People

Pawtucket Credit Union was founded on the idea of “people helping people” and that spirit of service has been a hallmark of the Credit Union's culture. Each year our employees give hundreds of hours of their time in support of worthy community based organizations.

Volunteerism is highly encouraged and we are proud that our employees heed the call to service. Several of the organizations we support are highlighted below.

Volunteer of the Year

Crystal Thompson

Crystal Thompson is our most recent winner of Volunteer of the Year. Her willingness to lend her time and talents to so many causes personifies PCU’s community giving philosophy.

Congratulations and thank you Crystal!

Back to School Celebration of RI

A core focus of PCU’s community service is educational opportunities for children and families. One of our most successful volunteer activities is the annual Back to School Celebration, which gives free backpacks filled with school supplies to approximately 16,000 children in Rhode Island. Our employees play a major role by helping to sort and organize thousands of school supplies before they are stuffed into the backpacks and distributed at several locations throughout the state.
